    PRESS RELEASE

    FOR RELEASE, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8

    PLYMOUTH, MN

Pastor Adam Osier has accepted a call to serve as Dean of the Free Lutheran Bible College, a role he will begin on July 1.

As dean of the Bible college, Pastor Osier will be responsible for setting the direction of the school’s program, coordinating and supervising staff on student support and ministry teams, and fostering the academic and spiritual development of the Bible college. He will also teach approximately half-time in the Bible college.

Pastor Osier is a graduate of both the Bible college (’05) and theological seminary (’12) and is appreciative of his time on campus.

“It was at FLBC that God opened my eyes to the beauty of a Christ-alone gospel,” Osier said. “During my three years [at FLS] I was again blessed by the Bible-rich, gospel-centric teaching of the faculty. Those years were deeply formative in preparing me to preach the gospel in the congregations to which I’ve been called.”

In addition to his time as student in both of the schools, Pastor Osier served on the staff in a variety of capacities. He worked in the men’s dorm as both a dorm assistant and a resident head, and also served as athletic director from 2008 to 2011.

Pastor Osier has served as assistant pastor at Ruthfred Lutheran Church in Bethel Park, Pa., since 2014. Previously he served congregations in Wadena, Minn., and Bluegrass, Minn. He is married to Courtney (Jacobi, of rural Wheatland, Iowa), also a long-time employee of the Free Lutheran Schools. Together they have two children, Jacobi (age 8) and Kaia (age 6).

“Pastor Osier loves FLBC and the past, current, and future students of our AFLC Bible college,” President Wade Mobley said. “He is a capable teacher with a solid family. The Osiers have exposure to and experience with most every aspect of campus life, including academics, athletics, and residential life. He is a valuable addition to a strong team of leaders teaching, discipling, and loving students.”
