Twenty-four students, six dorm staff, and one Bible College dean agree, touring eclectic coffee shops on a Saturday morning is a great way to acclimate to the Twin Cities. Six groups of students, each led by a staff member, visited a total of 18 coffee shops shortly after the start of the school year. The event gave students a chance to get to know one another, their new city, and indulge in a new brewed drink, say a sparkling green matcha tea, a spumoni latte, or a Turkish coffee. Whether the scene was a crafty artist’s gallery or a pristine modern downtown loft, our students returned to campus buzzing with excitement. And caffeine.
