For immediate release

Members of the Commission on Accreditation for the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) awarded five-year reaffirmation of accreditation to the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary on Monday, April 24. The reaffirmation concludes a two-year process by which FLBCS demonstrated proficiency and progress on plans begun during the initial accreditation process leading up to 2018.

Accreditation holds FLBCS accountable to its mission of establishing students in the eternal and inerrant Word of God for a life of faith in Jesus Christ and faithful service in His kingdom. Areas of particular concern to accreditors are healthy and dedicated administration, mission-focused faculty and academic administration, safety and condition of buildings and grounds, sound finances and financial planning, programs and processes that directly benefit students, and viewing support staff as essential to long term fulfillment of mission.

“Reaffirmation is a major event for an institution like ours,” said President Wade Mobley. “A lot of people put in a lot of hard work to make it happen, and we thank God for their efforts.” The next reaffirmation will take place in another five years, with that reaffirmation lasting ten years.
