“…that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
– Ephesians 3:17-19
As we prepare for another school year on the Free Lutheran Schools campus, Paul’s words above echo the heart desire of our faculty, staff, alumni, and parents.
We pray for God to be powerfully at work through the teaching of His Word. As students are rooted and established in their faith, we long for them to know and experience the great depth of love Christ has for them. Would you pray this with us as Bible school and seminary students prepare to come? Would you pray as they move in and start classes for the year? Thank you for interceding on behalf of the AFLC Schools.
- Praise God for the safe return of 10 AFLBS summer ministry teams this past week. Pray that the seeds of the gospel they have sown would take root in hearts. Praise God for many children who accepted Christ through our summer team VBS and camp ministry.
- Praise God for an effective and impactful week of Summer Institute of Theology. We are thankful for the teaching on Biblical principles of the Protestant Reformation by Pastor Steve Mundrom, Dr. Craig Jennings, and Dr. Dan Siedell.
- Praise God for $16,000 that was raised at the AFLBS Golf Scramble on July 28. May the Lord direct those funds to many students who long to build a life foundation on God’s Word at AFLBS.
- Pray for new seminary families that are moving into seminary housing and prepare for classes this fall. Pray for smooth transitions and God’s provision as they begin a new schedule and adjust to a new environment for their family.
- Pray for the campus maintenance staff as they prepare the grounds and dorm rooms for the Bible school.
- Pray for any students that are still making last minute decisions whether or not to attend Bible school. Pray for students registered to come, that the Lord would affirm they are making the right decision to attend AFLBS.
- Pray for our admissions team as they have last-minute contact with Fall 2017 students and as they take early applications for Fall 2018.
