“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” – Colossians 4:2
At the AFLC Schools, we are thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness and provision. We are also thankful for devoted intercessors like you that pray regularly for the ministry of our seminary and Bible school. We are also watchful, as we anticipate what God will do as we continue our ministry of establishing students in the Word of God. Thank you for devoting yourselves to prayer along with us.
- Praise God for the 2017 Free Lutheran Youth (FLY) Convention held July 3-7 in Estes Park, Colorado. We are thankful for hundreds of connections with students who have expressed interest in attending AFLBS in the future, a few of which have now made last minute decisions to attend AFLBS this coming fall.
- Praise God for the addition to our staff and faculty, Dr. James Molstre, Dean of AFLTS, who officially started on June 1. Pray for him as he leads the seminary program and prepares for the classes he will be teaching this fall.
- Pray for Brad and Sarah Bierle, who will begin as AFLBS Resident Heads August 1. Pray for a smooth transition for their family and for open doors of ministry with Bible school students.
- Pray for the 10 summer ministry teams as they finish the last 3.5 weeks of ministry through VBS, camps, and concerts. Pray for strength and stamina and open doors for the gospel message.
- Pray for Alumni and Friends Day, coming up July 28-29 on campus. Pray for all the classes and activities, that alumni and supporters would be encouraged as they gather together on the school campus.
- Pray for the students and instructors for the Summer Institute of Theology, held on campus, August 7-11, as they teach and learn about Biblical and historical theology surrounding the Lutheran Reformation.
- Pray for incoming AFLTS and AFLBS students for Fall 2017, that God would prepare their hearts and minds to learn and grow through His Word. Pray also for students still deciding whether or not to attend Bible school.
- Pray for the AFLC Schools faculty as they prepare classes for the coming school year. Pray for wisdom, inspiration, and insight.
