Dear Praying Friends of Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary:
Graduation was fairly early this year, and campus becomes eerily quiet until our summer teams come back for training. There is a lot of work to do, and we are working hard to prepare for Annual Conference and summer activities. Before we know it, the fall 2026 class will arrive!
I continue to thank God for His faithfulness to our students, faculty, staff, and supporting congregations. Every month brings fresh reminders that the Lord is still calling men and women to lives of service, leadership, discipleship, and Gospel proclamation. Your prayers and support are a meaningful part of that work, and you are contributing to the future health of families, congregations, and communities.
One of the great encouragements this month has been watching students grow not only academically, but spiritually and relationally. The classroom remains important, but much of what shapes future church leaders happens in chapel, dorm conversations, student ministry opportunities, and daily life together in Christian community. We are grateful for students who are seeking Christ seriously, and who are learning to think carefully, biblically, and faithfully about their future callings.
We also praise God for the continued dedication of our faculty and staff. Their work often extends far beyond lectures and office hours. They invest deeply in mentoring students, counseling, discipleship, and prayer. Please continue to pray for endurance, wisdom, and joy for those who serve here daily.
Another source of gratitude is the ongoing partnership we enjoy with congregations and supporters across the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations. We regularly hear from pastors, parents, alumni, and friends who are praying for this ministry. Those reminders strengthen us. Christian higher education is increasingly challenging in today’s cultural environment, but we remain committed to providing a thoroughly biblical, Christ-centered education rooted in the authority of Scripture and the mission of the Church.
As summer approaches, we are also preparing for upcoming ministry teams, recruiting efforts, conferences, and planning for the next academic year. These months are important for enrollment and for helping prospective students discern God’s direction for their lives. Pray that the Lord would clearly lead students who would benefit from a season of formation and preparation at FLBCS.
Praise Items:
- Thank God for spiritual growth among students this semester.
- Praise God for faithful faculty, staff, and campus leadership.
- Give thanks for churches and individuals who continue to support the ministry financially and prayerfully.
- Praise God for all of our graduates, including six pastors, all of whom have taken calls at AFLC congregations.
- Praise the Lord for opportunities to proclaim the Gospel through chapel, ministry teams, and student outreach.
- Thank God for His continued provision for the daily needs of the college and seminary—we are at 99% of our $1.5 million annual fund goal as of this writing. (The fiscal year extends through July.)
Prayer Requests:
- Pray for wisdom and discernment for campus leadership as we prepare for the next academic year.
- Pray for current students as they finish coursework, make summer plans, and seek God’s direction.
- Pray for prospective students considering enrollment this fall—some make that decision as late as August!
- Pray for financial provision for students and for the institution as a whole.
- Pray that FLBCS would remain deeply faithful to Scripture, centered on Christ, and fruitful in preparing servant leaders for the Church.
Thank you again for remembering the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary in your prayers. We are deeply grateful for your partnership in this Gospel-centered mission. May the Lord continue to strengthen and encourage you as you serve Him in your homes, churches, and communities.
In Christ’s Service,
Dr. Wade Mobley
