Introducing the 2020-21 FLBC Dorm Assistants

FLBC is excited to introduce the 2020-21 dorm ministry team. These Dorm Assistants will be serving under Brad Bierle (Student Life Director), Ignacio Dávalos (Men’s Resident Head), and Emily Kregel (Women’s Resident Head).

Men’s Dorm Assistants

Nate Crellin

Ope, hey there! My name is Nate Crellin and I am going to be a Dorm Assistant in the Mens Dorm this fall! I also will be on campus working for maintenance in my second year in that role. I am beyond excited to be involved with student life on campus at FLBC, and more specifically, working with the men on building a closer relationship with their Father but also fostering life-long friendships with their fellow believers in Christ! Some fun knowledge about me is that I love outdoor activities such as fly fishing, hunting, biking, etc. and also really enjoy fellowship with a quality cup of coffee in my hand.

Grant Jones

Hello my name is Grant Jones. I’m a recent graduate of FLBC and I will be working as a Dorm Assistant on campus this coming school year. I’m extremely excited to work with so many Christ-minded people and get to know the guys on my wing. I’m excited for the great community life FLBC always has delivered! I’m stoked to come along-side the 2nd-year and 1st-year students alike and be a brother to them!

Ryan Jones

My name is Ryan Jones and I’m a 2017 graduate of the Free Lutheran Bible College. I’m a Dorm Assistant this year and was recently hired as the Media Specialist on campus  as well.

I’m so stoked for this fall because I’ve seen what the Lord has done here in the past. It will be  great to get back into some Christian community and then collectively reach out to the world  around us with the Hope of Christ.

My hope for us is that we’d leave here grounded in the truths of the Word,  dumbfounded at the depths of God’s love, and equipped to go share the gospel with those  around us.

Fun Fact: I love camping! It’s a huge passion of mine and I’ve come to the conclusion that the Boundary Waters could be the prettiest strip of land in the Midwest. It’s just incredible up there.  10 out of 10. Would highly recommend.

Dalton Jordahl

My name is Dalton Jordahl and I am looking forward to my second year as a dorm assistant at FLBC. I am thankful to be encouraging students in the Word this year and helping them grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. I am excited to have returning students back and to build relationships with first year students. I love being a DA and am thrilled to serve the community at FLBC and see how God works in the lives of others.

Fun fact: I love matcha tea. I like a matcha latte to start the day and a matcha lemonade later in the day. I love to share with students as well!

Women’s Dorm Assistants

Diana Alverson

Hello everyone! My name is Diana Alverson and this is my first year serving as a Dorm Assistant at the Free Lutheran Bible College. I am so thankful for this opportunity to invest into the lives of the young ladies that are going to be on campus. One fun fact about me is I love any type of competition and just recently took first place in a pie eating competition. Going into the 2020-2021 school year, I am most looking forward to coming along side students through the highs and lows, growing together as sisters in Christ and chasing after Christ every step of the way.

Caitlin Curtice

Hi there! My name is Caitlin Curtice, and I grew up in a small town called Rumely in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (also known as the U.P. or the Yoop)! For those of you that aren’t as familiar, think of it as a mini Canada of sorts.

I graduated from FLBC in 2017, and this fall will be my third year serving as a women’s dorm assistant. God is so good! Something that I’ve always looked forward to with each school year is getting to meet new students, reconnecting with ones from the year before, and seeing how the Lord works in each of their lives throughout the year as they attend FLBC and beyond.

Fun fact about myself: My family used to race sled dogs! My parents got their first sled dog a year before I was born, so you can definitely say it was in my blood. I raced competitively from when I was 11 years old to my junior year of high school.

I love all things that have to do with being outdoors and enjoy being physically active on a daily basis. But I also enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee and having a good chat with friends.

Abby Dahl

I’m Abby Dahl, I’m from Glyndon MN. I graduated from FLBC in 2018 and I’m so excited to come back as a DA this fall. I look forward to being back in the Minneapolis area, building and growing friendships and ultimately, serving Jesus where He leads. I love baking, playing with my nieces and nephew, creative outlets, a good brew of coffee and I can’t wait for this next chapter at FLBC. God is living and active and I’m so thankful to be right where He has called me.

Olivia Pavlish

Hi! I’m Olivia Pavlish from Rogers, MN. I serve as the Communications Assistant as well as a Dorm Assistant here at FLBC. I’m an extrovert and love spending time with people. I’m excited to see how God will grow you all in your faith and use your time at FLBC for His glory.

One interesting fact about me is that I am scuba certified and love everything related to water (kayaking, fishing, boating, you name it). I can’t wait to meet you all soon!
