New Staff Members Fill Admissions and Communications Positions

Three individuals have joined the AFLC Schools staff to fill various positions in recruitment, admissions, and alumni relations.

Josh Johnson, a 2011 AFLBS graduate and current seminary student, will join staff part-time as Recruiting and Communications Coordinator. He will oversee public relations and mass communications efforts and related staff for the AFLC Schools and will lead AFLBS recruiting and admissions efforts. Johnson replaces Chad Friestad, who has served the AFLC Schools for the past 8 years, originally as Student Development Director and more recently as Director of Recruitment and Communications. Friestad has recently accepted a call to serve in pastoral ministry in Camarillo, CA.

Aaron Arneson, a current student at Minnesota State Community and Technical College and 2017 graduate of AFLBS, will serve as a part-time AFLBS Admissions Advisor. Arneson will focus on AFLBS recruiting within 90 miles of Fargo, ND. He will represent AFLBS at high schools, youth events and retreats, area congregations and youth groups, and will make personal visits to prospective students and their families.

Andrea Christenson has joined staff part-time as Alumni Relations Coordinator. She replaces Emily Olson, who recently stepped down from the position after serving for three years. Christenson is a 1999 graduate of AFLBS. She will serve as a representative of all AFLBS alumni and will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the mission and efforts of the AFLBS Alumni Association.
