Resting in His Steady Presence – Kaetlyn (Kramer) Dávalos

Kaetlyn (Kramer) Dávalos [FLBC senior] is from Sioux Falls, S.D.

It is safe to say that none of us saw anything such as COVID-19 coming. Like many others, my world was turned upside down. But I have come to know God’s love and grace in every changed plan. My original plan—emphasis on “my”—was that I would graduate this May and get married on June 13. But that plan had to change. After coming back home to Sioux Falls, S.D., in March, I wanted to work until something new came up, and that something new was getting married! My fiancé, Ignacio Dávalos (FLBC ’19), and I decided after prayerful consideration and talking with a few others to change our wedding date to April 25.

To say it was emotionally difficult to change absolutely everything and end up not having our dream wedding was an understatement. But through it all, we were constantly reminded of God’s goodness and that He has truly blessed us. We were still able to have a wedding and have family attend. Now, as we start to live our lives together, a passage that we will continue to look at and want to live by as a couple is Proverbs 3:5-6. (Photo by KC Imagery)
