PRESS RELEASE
Rev. Dr. Nathan Olson Accepts Call as Faculty at FLBCS
Plymouth, Minnesota
For release Monday, February 22

The Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Rev. Dr. Nathan Olson, of Savage, MN, has accepted the call to serve as full time faculty beginning June 1, 2021. Dr. Olson will teach a variety of classes in both the two-year Bible College program and the four-year Seminary program.

Dr. Olson has served as pastor at Living Word Lutheran in Eagan, MN since 2017. Previously, he served Gloria Dei Free Lutheran Church in St. Louis, MO while completing his PhD in Doctrinal Theology at Concordia Seminary. He is married to Emily (Hoops, of Deshler, NE). Together they have four children, Josiah (age 7), Caleb (age 5), Anna (age 3), and Rhoda (age 1).

“Growing up in the AFLC, I have always appreciated what we have at our Schools – a training ground for life in the local congregation where we equip students with the Word of God and a Lutheran framework. It was at our Free Lutheran Schools where God opened my eyes to the gospel, encouraged me through a community of Christian believers, and prepared me for a life of ministry. I look forward to joining the team in proclaiming God’s Word to the next generation.”

Founded in 1964 by the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (www.aflc.org), the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary (www.flbc.edu) includes a two-year post-secondary program (FLBC) and a four-year Master of Divinity pastoral training program  (FLS). The Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary gained accreditation from the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS, www.tracs.org) in 2018.
