About the Worship Director:
Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church is seeking a Worship Director who is both a gifted spiritual leader and a highly organized musician to oversee our music and media ministries. This is a pivotal role that carries the responsibility of recruiting, equipping, and mentoring volunteers across weekend worship services, the Abiding Savior Academy Chapel, and numerous special events. The ideal candidate will be passionate about authentic, biblically-grounded worship, excel at managing worship service schedules, and possess the technical skills to oversee all A/V and media production. The Worship Director’s responsibilities include:

Volunteer Leadership & Mentorship

Recruit, Equip, and Mentor: Lead the charge in building and empowering a strong corps of volunteers across the Worship Ministry (i.e. music, service design, AVL).
Team Stewardship: Develop, schedule, and empower teams with efficiency and care. This is essential to maintaining the continuity and quality of our diverse service offerings.
Fostering Discipleship: Actively invest in lay leaders and encourage the development of their God-given talents.
Relational Focus: Develop and maintain genuine, personal relationships with the congregation, fostering a sense of community and connection within the worship teams and the wider church family.

Scope & Execution of Worship Services

Weekly Services: Oversee Sunday services, ensuring quality and spiritual depth.
Integrated Education Ministry: Plan and coordinate Abiding Savior Academy Chapel services.
Seasonal & Special Services: Oversee special services such as Advent and Lent services, as well as events like VBS programs, Christmas programs, funerals, and weddings.

Technical & Media Oversight

A/V Management: Oversee and maintain all sound, lighting, video equipment, and musical instruments.
Media Production: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of all song slides, video playback, and technical needs for services.
Administration: Manage the church’s music library and ensure compliance with copyright and licensing requirements (e.g., CCLI).
