The Lord is the Sustainer of My Soul – Julia Albright

By Julia Albright, FLBC senior, Fosston, Minn.

God really is the ultimate Sustainer. I know that even though everyone else around me can fail me, God is the one who has never failed and never will fail me. He sustains me in the midst of my deepest stresses and trials. His love is everlasting. Throughout my life, God has shown me countless times that I cannot be fruitful and prosper in anything I do without Him faithfully sustaining me in everything.

I really struggled with anxiety in the last few years, and God has helped me. My life verse is Isaiah 59:1, which says, “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.” This verse is a great reminder to me that no matter what is tearing me down in my life the Lord of lords is always reaching out and saving me and will lend me His listening ear. My anxiety isn’t gone, but I know that God is there with me through it all.
