The Lord is the Sustainer of My Soul – Kyle Westlake

By Kyle Westlake, FLBC senior, Rogers, Minn.

God has brought many blessings into my life, and His loving, perfect, and sustaining work in my life as a sinner has been apparent my whole life. I really felt God’s tug on my heart a few weeks before I was supposed to start classes at FLBC. It was evident that I did not know what God wanted for my life or really know what my purpose was in His kingdom. It wasn’t until I sensed His pull on my heart to go to FLBC that I fully realized the truth of His provision presented in Matthew 6:26, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” This verse has made me realize that God has provided for me in every area in my life. I have nothing to fear with Him. I have nothing. But, through Christ, He has sustained me and gives me everything I need.
