Trust in God; He has a plan for you! This sentence could be said about anyone, but I feel it applies especially to myself. In high school I had friends who were Christian but did not always live for God. This caused me to convince myself that some of the things I was doing were okay. Even though I had always felt that guilt in my heart, I still made wrong decisions. But all my friends were doing it, so that makes it okay, right? Absolutely not.
This all led up to my junior year of youth group at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minn. I enjoyed youth group, but that year was special. We had combined with Grace Free Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, Minn., and it was the best thing that had ever happened to me because I met my best friends. One had moved from Fargo, three had gone to the youth group in Maple Grove, and one was already with me at Hope. These guys were a gift in my life. They all love the Lord and have a relationship with him, and they pointed me in the right direction.
My new friends were all going to some small Bible college I had never heard of. If God had not used them in my life, I don’t think I would have ever gone to FLBC. Being at FLBC has brought me so much joy while being in God’s Word and surrounded by His people. God works in miraculous ways, and I never thought I would be where I am today.
