“O You who hear prayer, to You all men come.” (Psalm 65:2)
In this declaration from the psalmist, we see the truth that God is a ‘hearer of prayer’ and that He invites all people to seek Him in prayer. May these observations encourage us in our prayer life, and inspire us all the more to draw near to the Lord in prayer.
In the next few weeks as you come to the Lord in prayer, please recall these intercessions:
- Intercede with thanks and praise unto the Lord for the opportunity we have to teach and train students to know, understand, cherish, and apply God’s Word in their lives. Our Bible College and Seminary are “treasures” to the AFLC. Let us also be in prayer that the Lord would draw students to our Seminary and Bible College.
- Intercede for our all of our students on campus. May their faith be growing and matured as they study the Word of God and may the Holy Spirit strengthen, enable, and equip them in their walk of faith.
- Intercede that our Lord direct men’s hearts to pastoral training at our seminary. There exists an urgent need for men, and we seek God’s work in their lives and in this call. As the fields remain white unto harvest, may the Lord send workers into His harvest.
- Intercede on behalf of the many churches that are currently experiencing pastoral vacancy. May their call teams be granted wisdom, insight, and patience as they wait upon the LORD, and may the will of God be accomplished in the lives of those men seeking a call to a congregation.
- Intercede on the FLBC Alumni Association as they work in support of our students, encourage alumni, raise financial and prayer support, and expand the ministry of our Bible College.
- Intercede for the upcoming Campus Days event with the theme “Built on the Rock” scheduled for April 9-11, 2021. We pray that many students participate and that all planning and preparation is accomplished efficiently.
- Intercede for the continued construction of our Student Life Center and the future giving to fully fund the project. As we do so we also anticipate the powerful way the Lord will use this facility to build community, enhance fellowship and Christian activity, and further the growth of His kingdom on our campus and beyond. We are looking forward to our Grand Opening celebration scheduled for April 16-17, 2021.
On behalf of the Intercessor team,
Pastor Kirk Flaa, Sioux Falls, SD
