Student Achievement

Free Lutheran Bible College:

74% of eligible students attending Free Lutheran Bible College in the fall of 2022 returned for the fall semester in 2023. This is a retention rate of 74%, down from 87% the previous year.

85% of the first-time, full-time students that began the two-year program in the fall of 2021 graduated* in the spring of 2023. This is an increase from 79% in 2022 and 74% in 2021.

Prior to 2024, FLBC was a two-year program that did not issue a formal degree, therefore job placement rates were not formally calculated with our alumni. Per the 2021 Graduating/Second Year Student Survey, 84% of respondents noted they were planning on pursuing a degree after FLBC.

*Graduation rate is the percentage of FLBC’s first-time, first-year undergraduate students who completed the program within 3 years (150% of the expected time for the program).

Free Lutheran Seminary:

While most students enrolled at the Free Lutheran Seminary complete their master's degree in 4 years, those not pursuing ordination can finish in 3 years with no internship. Since 2017, 100% of students have graduated within 3-5 years of starting the program. Additionally, 100% of these student worked in jobs related to ministry within three months of graduation.
