Our Mission is:

"Establishing students in the eternal and inerrant Word of God for a life of faith in Jesus Christ and faithful service in His Kingdom."

This means we equip students to understand Scripture for themselves, grow in their understanding of the Gospel, navigate the culture with a biblical worldview, and make a difference in their family, community, and local congregation. We believe this is accomplished best through a holistic educational approach that includes academic study, intentional community, and ministry experience.

"Not only did God use my time at FLBC to place missions on my heart, He used it to help me be firmly grounded in His Word. I’m grateful for all the lessons I learned while at FLBC, from learning how to study the Bible, prepare Bible studies or Sunday School lessons, or even audio production from my time as a sound tech for the worship team. FLBC really helped equip me for this ministry [KAKN Radio in Naknek, Alaska]."

—Maggie Johnson, Class of 2021

"FLBC classes gave me a deep love for theology. I was encouraged by faculty, who were always willing to discuss theology both in and out of class. They grew to be close friends of mine and continue to support me as I work in the church and pursue higher theological education."

—Sophia Lucht, Class of 2025

God’s love is so evident at FLBC. The light of Jesus shines through the professors, coaches, students, and staff, and it is such a blessing to be in this environment which is preparing me for a life of service in God’s kingdom no matter where I may go. Through basketball, community activities, and each class, I am learning what it means to be a true follower of Christ.”

—Gracia Rolf, Class of 2025

"I left high school with plans to be a teacher. Through my time at the Bible College, God shifted my focus to full-time student ministry. Not only did I make incredible friends, but I became better equipped to study God's Word and to teach it to others."

—Daniel Hurner, Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries

“At the beginning of the year, I was unsure of why I was here. At the end of the year, I was amazed to see how God had answered all my prayers. God knew the areas in my life I needed to grow my faith and He grew me—It was not me. When I came to FLBC, I felt that my relationship with God was just a personal matter. Now I see that I want to invest in the church and be a member of the body of Christ, because it is such a gift.”

—Magdelena Grotberg, Class of 2023

"FLBC is where my faith became much more personal. My time at FLBC encouraged me to go into any vocation with a ministry mindset—whether at work or at home I can share the love of Christ with others.”

—Stephen Quanbeck, Class of 2011

"I decided to come to FLBC because I wanted to grow in my relationship with Jesus and grow in my knowledge of Him as well. I am so happy I decided to come to this college because God is already doing so much work in me. I am learning to trust Him with every little thing and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for me!"

—Janay Gray, Class of 2023
