Production Coordinator

WHO:

FLBC captures a wide variety of media for use on our website, on social media, for recruiting, for education, and for sharing our mission with our supporters. We are looking for a motivated individual to be the “producer” of our chapel services, event livestreams, and athletics broadcasts. Audio mixing and/or filming experience is strongly preferred; desire to keep learning is a necessity! Training available.

The ideal candidate will have an artistic eye and attention to detail. They should be interested in camera gear and audio mixing, with the ability to learn fast. They should be a visual storyteller who recognizes that the medium is part the message. If details are sloppy, the message is less clear. They should be passionate about promoting a college whose primary curriculum is God’s Word which is effective in its hearers for spiritual life.

This position will report to the marketing director. The primary goal of this position is to present the school in a positive, professional way. Wages will vary depending on experience. 

WHAT:

  1. Chapel Communication
    Our chapel services are often led by student teams. This position will communicate with these students and create song/service slides.
  2. Chapel Production
    This individual will oversee the mixing of audio and the capturing of chapel livestream. He is encouraged to recruit students to support him in this role. He will also aid teams in setting up microphones and stage prep.
  3. Chapel Calendar
    Our chapel space sees weekly daytime services, monthly vespers, student instrument lessons, worship team rehearsals, and occasional facility rentals. This person will manage the chapel calendar to ensure things run smoothly.
  4. Athletics Broadcast
    FLBC livestreams its athletic games with play-by-play commentary. This individual will be responsible for setting up filming equipment and running the livestream. (rudimentary knowledge of basketball and volleyball is helpful. Training on our systems will be provided)
  5. Event Livestream Production
    FLBC produces livestream/recorded video of a number of events throughout the year. These include choir concerts, lecture events, and various others. This individual will discern the audio/video needs of the event, plan the production, and execute, supported by other staff and students.
  6. Podcast Production
    Depending on ability, this individual will also aid in the recording of our video podcast, currently publishing every other week.
  7. Media Distribution
    This individual will upload videos to various platform and manage posting of videos, podcasts, and blog posts, ensuring they are tagged for discovery.
  8. Classroom
    This individual will occasionally be called on to troubleshoot audio/video needs in our classrooms.
