First Impressions Receptionist

Report: The First Impressions Receptionist is a part of the front office team at the Free Lutheran Bible College and reports to the Office Manager.

Days: Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with flexibility available for the right candidate.

Skills: The ideal candidate is dependable, trustworthy, detail oriented, and a self-starter. Qualified candidates possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desired.

Responsibilities: The First Impressions Receptionist is the face of the Free Lutheran Bible College for all visitors. Primary responsibilities involve providing a warm welcome to visitors, answering and directing phone calls, assisting students with student services-related questions or needs, and providing administrative assistance as needed.

Maintenance & Grounds Manager

Report: The Maintenance & Grounds Manager is a part of the facilities team at the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary; and reports to the Facilities Director.

Days: Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, with night, weekends, and on call work as needed.

Duties: The Maintenance & Grounds Manager, (along with the Facilities Director) oversees the maintenance and grounds needs for the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary and the AFLC Administration building. This includes but is not limited to building, furniture, and mechanical equipment maintenance as well as lawn care. This position will closely with other employees to also ensure custodial needs and event needs are met.

Facility and Event Coordinator

Report: The Facility and Event Coordinator is a part of the facilities team at the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary, and reports to the Facilities Director. The Facility and Event Coordinator will also work closely with the Director of Communications, Director of Athletic Ministries, President’s Office, and the Dean of the Seminary.

Days: Typical work schedule varies, depending on campus events. This is hybrid position, requiring some on campus time and remote work if desired.

Skills: The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and detail oriented. One who is able to manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time, while meeting deadlines with consistency. Has good written and verbal skills, likes to work in a fast-paced environment, and is able to work independently and with others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desired.

Duties: The Facility and Event Coordinator assists in planning and oversees logistics for the internal and external event needs for the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary; assuring that all who attend an event or use a space on campus have their needs met and receive a positive experience while here.

FLBC Dorm Assistant Position

Working under the direct supervision of the Resident Head, this position is important in developing and contributing to dorm life and community. The primary area of focus is direct relationship building for the purpose of spiritual growth and character development of students on campus, specifically within the dorm.

This position will include responsibilities in the following areas:

Dorm Assistant

  • Contribute and assist in the implementation of the FLBC mission and vision, specifically within the context of dorm life.
  • Prioritize Biblical character development of students through dorm life and activities, demonstrating servant-leadership, support, and discipleship.
  • Promote spiritual life and growth by attending dorm and campus events, being consistently available to students, and participating in regular devotional programming.
  • Invest specifically in the dorm staff team as well as the group of students assigned to your specific wing or floor.
  • Provide proactive direction and guidance to Resident Assistants.
  • Remain available to assist with the planning and executing of campus wide events.
  • Maintain regular communication and coordination with your Resident Head, Director of Student Life, and other FLBC staff as appropriate.
  • Assist with the logistical needs of the dorm such as chapel attendance, fob logs, late hours, fines, room checks, dress code, weekend and summer housing supervision, move-in and orientation, move-out, etc. as directed by your Resident Head.
  • Be an example of Christ-like character including an understanding and commitment to compliance and enforcement of student life expectations as outlined in the FLBC handbook.
