Seminarians Accept Call to Preach the Word

The Free Lutheran Seminary is training men to preach the Word. The first three years of our seminary program consist of on-campus exegetical and in-depth study of Scripture. The fourth year of the program is spent on internship where seminarians serve under a pastor mentor in an AFLC congregation. This spring, FLS will be sending out one graduate and two interns. Please be praying for these men as they go out and preach God’s Word in AFLC congregations.

Scott Olson accepted a call to Grace Free Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN and will begin serving as pastor of this congregation this summer. He has served his internship this past year in Thief River Falls, MN at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and Reiner Lutheran Free Church. Scott recently reflected, “My time in seminary has given me a solid foundation to rely upon in ministry. It has grounded me in knowledge of God’s Word, in Lutheran Doctrine, and instilled upon me a great love for the congregation.”

Mikey Meester will be serving his internship at Our Savior’s Free Lutheran Church in Stanley, ND under the mentorship of Pastor Erin Tormanen.

Troy Hanson will complete his internship in Williston, ND under the mentorship of Pastor Jon Wellumson at Emmanuel Free Lutheran Church in Williston, ND.
