New Facilities Director to Begin in June

The Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary has hired Eric Christenson as Facilities Director. Christenson has served in a variety of capacities in the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (aflc.org), most notably as a pastor at Amery Free Lutheran Church (Amery, WI) since 2005. “This hire encourages us,” said Pastor Wade Mobley, President of the Bible College and Seminary. “After a long search for the right person for this position, we are thankful to welcome Eric to the team. He is a hard worker with the ability to learn quickly and place others in a position to succeed.”

The Facilities Director is responsible for care, maintenance, and improvement of buildings and grounds of the 26-acre campus in Plymouth, MN, including the 34,000 square foot Student Life Center. Christenson’s duties include planning and budgeting, working with vendors, and hiring, training, and managing staff. He will begin his work on June 1, 2020, in anticipation of the planned December 2020 retirement of Wayne Floan. Christenson will move to campus with his wife, Andrea, and two daughters, Macy (13) and Anna (11) sometime in the next several months.

Founded in 1964 by the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (www.aflc.org), the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary (FLBC.edu) includes a two-year post-secondary program (FLBC) and a four-year Masters of Divinity pastoral training program Level (FLS). The Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary gained accreditation from the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS, www.tracs.org) in 2018.
