Concert Choir Scandinavia Tour 2024

Thank you for your interest in the life of these young adults and our upcoming international tour! We are looking forward to growing in many ways, to worshiping God, and to sharing the Gospel through song. This three-week tour to Scandinavia will take place April 28-May 18, 2024.

Our Route

Working with our tour manager Adam Lee, plans are underway for the FLBC Concert Choir, FLBC Dean Pr. Adam Osier, and Music Director Andrew Hanson to fly out the day after graduation.

We open the tour with three days singing at churches on the Faroe Islands. After flying to Denmark for a couple church concerts in Copenhagen and then a train ride to Oslo, the choir will begin their Norway portion of the tour.

First visiting a Lutheran Bible School and churches near Stavanger, they will work their way up the North Sea Coast, celebrating Ascension Day with concerts in Bergen (where the Companion Tour will join them), and then more church and Bible School concerts in Trondheim.

Back in Oslo they will perform at some Lutheran churches and complete the tour with a visit to the birthplace of Hans Nielsen Hauge to honor the 200th anniversary of his death and also celebrate Norwegian Constitution Day.

Prayer

Please pray for us in all aspects of this trip, especially the planning, the sharing of the Gospel, good health and safety, the finances, and the learning of new music. We value your partnership with us in this adventure, and we thank you for your prayers.

One of our biggest prayer requests is regarding finances. While trying to keep the overall cost of the trip as low as possible, we are asking each student to raise $3,950 in support. We are trusting in God to provide all of our needs according to His riches in glory, and we trust in Him for this expense, too. We do see every tour, especially this one, as an evangelistic mission trip opportunity, and plan to focus on sharing the Gospel and supporting the greater body of Christ.

In Christ,
Andrew Hanson, FLBC Music Director
Rev. Adam Osier, FLBC Dean
