Detailed Design work has continued on the AFLBS gym project.  Work includes significant progress developing architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering plans.  The building committee has met several times to review plan development with the contractor and design team, and will meet a couple more times as plans are finalized.  The plans should be complete early in the fall.  Once funding for construction is in hand, firm bids will be obtained.  Construction can begin once adequate funding is in place, with the hope that construction will begin in the spring of 2019.  A cost estimate has been developed and we expect the construction cost to be about $7.6 million, with about a plus or minus 5% level of certainty.
