FLBCS Receives Student Life Center Gift

PRESS RELEASE
FLBCS Receives Student Life Center Gift
Plymouth, MN
For release Monday, November 1, 2021

Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary has received a $1 million gift for the benefit of the Student Life Center, the newest building on campus. The SLC opened in the spring of 2021 and contains a college basketball/volleyball court, classroom space, four locker rooms, several offices, and a large commons area containing a fireplace and coffee shop. When combined with the newly redesigned outdoor space, the Student Life Center has become the center of activity both for students and off-campus visitors.

This most recent gift pushes the capital campaign total over the $5 million mark, over half way to the original goal of $8.5 million. The total cost of the project, including some but not all furnishings and fixtures, was $9.8 million. Dr. Wade Mobley, President of the Bible College & Seminary, noted, “Generous donors have made the dream of the Student Life Center a reality. I can’t overstate what the addition has brought to our campus.”

Founded in 1964 by the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (www.aflc.org), the Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary (www.FLBC.edu) includes a two-year post-secondary program (FLBC) and a four-year Master of Divinity pastoral training program (FLS). The Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary gained accreditation from the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS, www.tracs.org) in 2018.
