Stephen Quanbeck Testimony

Class of 2011

Stephen Quanbeck graduated from AFLBS in 2011, married AFLBS graduate, Stephanie (Kantonen) Quanbeck in 2015, and together they are now excitedly awaiting the birth of their first child here in September 2017!

“My time at AFLBS was a terrific time to solidify my faith. I made lifelong gospel friends that I still stay connected to.” After graduating from AFLBS, Stephen went on to get a degree at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul. He pursues being invested in his community, church, and family, evidenced by the variety of places he is involved.

Stephen currently serves his community as a Loan Administrative Supervisor at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. He and his wife attend and are involved in the Solid Rock Free Lutheran young adult’s small group. In addition to that, Stephen also currently serves on the Alumni Association Committee and here’s why: “I love the Bible school and want to be a part of connecting alumni like me back to it. I also want to see the Bible school flourish and grow. The alumni association provides prayer and financial support to the school in a direct and intentional way.” Even now, several years out from Bible School, the Alumni Association provides ways for him to stay connected. “Some of the great professors, mentors and friends that I know from AFLBS are close by but I don’t get to connect or interact with them often. It’s encouraging to get to connect with these people again through alumni events and communications. The closer that I stay to AFLBS events and alumni the more I can be involved in the ministry and vision of the Bible school again. It’s something that I often forget about when I’m not on campus. I want to continue to be reminded of what God has done and is continuing to do at AFLBS.”
