Overall Purpose:
• Shepherd the middle school and high school students in God’s Word.
• Guide them, led by God’s Spirit, into a living relationship with Jesus.
• Provide youth an environment for nurturing spiritual maturity.
Position Mission:
• Individuals – Win, build, equip, and multiply as many youths as possible in Jesus Christ.
• Group – Provide spiritual mentoring for youth and direction for them as growing
disciples.
• Leadership – Invest in a team of qualified adults and maturing student leaders with the
goal of making disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus (lifelong followers of
Christ).
Vision of Position:
• That each teenager would know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• That each student would value relationships with others in the youth group, congregation,
and community.
• That each maturing follower of Jesus would value
1. God’s Word over the world;
2. God’s mission over personal plans;
3. Service over self.
